The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) is a public–private partnership between the State of Alaska and the Alaska seafood industry, dedicated to promoting Alaska’s wild, natural, and sustainable seafood. ASMI works globally to build demand for Alaska seafood through marketing, education, and partnerships, highlighting its responsible fisheries management and commitment to quality.
Alaska’s fisheries are home to a diverse range of species, including five types of wild salmon, sablefish (black cod), wild Alaska pollock and yellowfin sole. Each species is carefully managed under some of the world’s most rigorous sustainability standards, ensuring long-term abundance, traceability, and premium quality for global markets.
"The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute is incredibly proud to sponsor the ‘Retail and Buying Excellence’ award at this year’s Women in Food and Drink Awards.
As an organisation dedicated to promoting wild, sustainable seafood from Alaska, we recognise the significant influence and responsibility retail buyers hold in shaping what consumers eat and drink. We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding women leading in this space and to acknowledge the meaningful impact they have across the sector.
We wish the best of luck to all the nominees and look forward to celebrating their achievements on the night."
